    意外(?)にも、バラエティーのニノは味があってかなり面白い。映画やドラマでの活躍が目立つが、バラエティーでは独特の空気感を醸し出し、ポロっと発言するコメントが実に的を射ているのだ。そんなニノにとって、社会料ナゾTV「ひみつのアラシちゃん!」がスタートする今、その心境は？
    Even if its surprising, Nino has an interesting flavor all his own on the show. His work in movies and dramas stands out the most, but the unique atmosphere he creates and his sharp comments really hit the mark. The new show "Himitsu no Arashi-chan" is about to start unraveling its mysteries, but where is he in all of this?

あまのじゃく発言
Sharp Words

    「ホントにまったくセンスのないタイトルで驚いてますけど(笑)、始まるみたいですね」と、相変わらずのあまのじゃく発言を連発しつつも、「(この番組は)なかなかいいと思いますね。漠然となんですけど、ちょうど僕はバラエティーが楽しいなぁと思っていたところで。TBS の木曜10時って初めてかな。この枠でやれるっていうのは単純に嬉しかったです」とのこと。
    "I'm really surprised at the completely senseless title (laughs), but it seems like its starting, ne.", with his normal fast paced, sharp words, "I think (this show) is pretty good, ne. It's vague, but this came about just as i was thinking these variety shows are pretty fun. Its he first time we've had a show at such an hour, Thursdays at 10p on TBS. Being able to show at that time honestly makes me happy."

Ohno Satoshi

    インタビューの時点ではまだ収録前ということもあり、どんな番組になるか未知数の部分も多いけれど、嵐のメンバーのいつものふんわりした雰囲気が充満している1時間になることは間違いなさそう。
    「僕らがプレゼンテーションしていくみたいな形らしいので、大野智がどこまでしゃべれるかというのが最大のポイントでしょうね。そこがいちばんハラハラする(笑)。まぁ言わされてる感が出ないように頑張ってもらうしかないですね、大野智には。他の人たちは大丈夫なんですけど。僕も大丈夫だと思います。見ている人と一緒に楽しく学べたらなというのが(本当は)いちばんですかね。きっと僕らも楽しめそう。大野智が意外とうまかったりするかもしれないですからね(笑)」
    This interview was taken before the actual filming of the show so there were still a lot of things they didnt know for sure yet, but they'll definetly fill that hour with their normal lovable atmosphere.
     "It seems like we'll each be giving presentations, but the point to look for is just how much Ohno will speak, ne. Thats what i'm most looking forward to. (laughs) Well, the only thing he can do is work on his speech so it doesnt sound so forced, ne. Everyone else should be fine. I think i'll be fine too. The most important thing is that we have fun learning new things with the people watching, ne. We'll definetly have fun too. Ohno might just surprise us and speak very well, ne. (laughs)"

    バラエティーでのニノのスタンスはどんなものなのだろう？「僕は前に出る人ではないので、楽しくやりたい。自分より面白い人がいれば面白いことをする必要はないしって考え方かな。まとまんないんだったらまとめしって。一人だと基本的にそんなこと考えないんですけど、5人だとそれは考えますね。まぁ、この番組では見ている人たちと一緒に楽しみたい。完全に視聴者です(笑)」
    最後にどうしても気になっていた髪型について聞いてみた。「個人の仕事がきたら切ろうかなと思ってます。そんなこと言ってたら、こんなに伸びてしまったので、そろそろ切らなきゃな。ライブはたぶんこれくらいの長さでいくのかな。雰囲気、変わってきちゃいましたかね？」
    How do you feel about yourself on variety shows? "I'm not someone who steps up front, so i want to have fun doing it. The way of thinking where its not necessary to do interesting things if theres someone more interesting than me there already. If everything's not in order, i'd settle it. I dont think about those kinda things when i'm alone, but i do when i'm with the other four, ne. Ah, I want to have fun together with the people watching. Just like a real viewer. (laughs)".
    Finally, we wanted to ask you about any kind of hairstyle youre interested in. "I was thinking i'd cut it if i had some personal work come up. But even saying that, since its gotten this long maybe its about time i cut it. I wonder how well this length would work at concerts. I wonder if its begun to change the way i see things, ne?"

    「5人での仕事というのは、基本的に楽しいですよね。嵐 の5人て、ちょっと離れてるだけで関係性が違ってくるので、集まったときが新鮮。関係性がどんどん変わっていくのが楽しいですね。嵐の人気のひみつ？ やっぱ顔がいいことでしょうねぇ(笑)。ビジュアルが粒揃いだってことでしょうねぇ、残念ながら(笑)。そこに尽きるでしょうね。去年のライブで嵐 というものを見せられたかなって思うんです。実力じゃない、顔だってことを示せたかなと思います(笑)。まあ、それが一番のアイドルの実力ですからね。自分たちがなんでこんなにお客さんを呼べるかなんて考えたこともないですけど、正直に語ると、周りの人たちのおかげでしょう(笑)」
    "Working with all the members is honestly fun, ne. When we're separated for only a little bit of time our personalities begin to change, so when we regroup its always so fresh. The slight changes in personality are fun, ne. The secret to Arashi's popularity? It's gotta be our pretty faces, ne. (laughs) We're all equally beautiful... unfortunately. (laughs) It probably ends there, ne. I was wondering what we were showing at last years concerts. I'm thinking it wasnt our skill, but our faces we were presenting. (laughs) Well that is the greatest skill of an idol anyhow, ne. I've never actually thought about why we attract so many people, but honestly its probably because of the people around us. (laughs)"
