    He's the leader of Arashi, a stage performer, and also just opened a public exhibition for his art. Ohno Satoshi keeps displaying his various plays overflowing with talent. Hiding all of his energy within himself, he expresses a truly calm and heartwarming demeanor. His description as the most soothing one in Arashi fits him perfectly.

    「ひみつのアラシちゃん!」で、どんな嵐を見せていきたいかを尋ねると、気負いのない率直は答えが返ってきた。「そのままの嵐、飾らない嵐を見せていきたいな。これまでも、自分たちは特に変わったことをしてきたわけではなく、自然にやってきたからね」そんな飾らないメンバーたちの自然体の姿勢が、彼らの絶大なる人気の理由かもしれない。
    When we asked what kind of Arashi we should expect in "Himitsu no Arashi-chan!", we received a straight to the point answer. "Just the way we've always been, I just want people to see the normal us. It's not like we've changed up until this point either, because we do everything as we are, ne." Their normal, unadorned selfs might just be the reason for their immense popularity.

Non-Stop

    大野個人の活躍としては、この2月に大成功を収めた個展「FREESTYLE」が記憶に新しい。現在は、人気の舞台「風プー)」シリーズの4作目「アマツカゼ～天つ風～」で主役を熱演中だ。大野をはじめ、メンバーの個々での活躍はめざましく、とどまることを知らない。「それぞれが嵐から離れて活動をして、そこで得たものを嵐に持ち帰る。その繰り返しなんです」
    メンバー一人一人の成長の集大成、それが嵐の飛躍的な成長につながっているのだろう。
    For Ohno personally, he's been wrapping up his personal exhibition "FREESTYLE" over the past 2 months. Actually right now he's in the middle of giving an entusiastic preformance as the main character in "Amatsukaze ~ Heavenly Wind", the 4th in the popular "Pu~"-series. He doesnt know much about the other member's remarkable individual activities though. "We each drift off and do our own things, and bring back whatever we succeeded at. It's a kind of cycle." The compilation of each member's growth one by one is probably entangled up in Arashi's own rapid growth.

Happiness through Learning

    最近気になっていることを聞くと、その答えには大野の優しさがにじみ出ていた。「暗いニュースが目立ちますよね。子供たちが巻き込まれ事件や、家族間の事件…ほんとに嫌な事件が多すぎます。なんとかならないのかな」
    この番組を通して、大野自身も新しいことを学べることに喜びを感じているという。「僕としては、物を作ることについてもっと知りたいですね。携帯電話や時計はどの小さいパーツを作っている人に会ってみたいな。ほかにも、世の中にはまだまだ知らないことがたくさんあるから、視聴者のみなさんと嵐が一緒になって学べるような、そんなばんぐみにしていきたいですね」
    When we asked what he cant help thinking about lately, Ohno's kindness shined through with his answer. "Depressing news stands out, ne. Kids getting involved in scandals and scandals within families... there's really too much of it. We really need to do something about it."
    Overlooking the new show, Ohno seems pleased to just be able to learn new things like this. "I really want to know more about how things are made, ne. I want to meet the people who make the small parts for cell phones or watches. On top of that, there are so many things we still dont know in the world, I want a show where the audience and Arashi can learn things together, ne."

    「学生時代に好きだった料目は美術でした。というより、勉強が嫌いで、成績がよかったのが美術ぐらいだったってことなんだけど(笑)。小学3年のときに絵にハマて、それからは授業中もずーっと絵を描いてた。当時は漫画家になろうって思ていたくらい。中学に上がると、バドミントンやダンスに夢中になって、ちょっと絵から離れてしまったんだけど、16歳のときにまた絵に対する興味が復活。フィギュア製作を始めたのは嵐 に入ってからですね。今でも、雑誌や電車の中吊り広告を見ているときに突然「こんなもの作ろう!」って思い立つんです。そして一旦制作が始まると、気が済むまでやるのでよく徹夜をしちゃいます。大好きだから、止められないんですよねぇ」
    The thing i was most interested in when i was still in school was art. More like i hated studying and about the only thing i got good grades in was Art. (laughs) I got into drawing when i was in 3rd grade, I would draw pictures all through class. So much that i was thinking i wanted to be a manga artist. When i moved up to middle school, I got into badminton and dance, and stopped drawing for a while, but when i turned 16 i got back into drawing. I didnt start making figurines until after i was in Arashi, ne. Even now, when i'm reading a magazine or looking at the advertisements inside the train, I'll suddenly decide "I want to make something like that!". Then, once i start work on it,
I dont stop until i finish.. sometimes i'll work through the night. I cant stop, I just love it so much, ne."
